Joseph Benesh

Joseph Benesh is the Executive Director of Arizona Citizens for the Arts and hosts the weekly public affairs series/podcast AZ Uncensored (Mondays 5pm to 5:30pm). Previous to this, he was ED of Phoenix Center for the Arts for 8 years. He currently serves on both the Phoenix Community Alliance and George Washington Carver Museum and Cultural Center boards. He received his Master’s from NYU with an emphasis in Theatre of the Oppressed and his Bachelor’s from ASU. Except for his two years in New York he has lived in Arizona for 27 years. He has a theatre background and has seen the life-saving power of the arts his entire life. He loves Arizona and believes this is the land of opportunity.
