Meet Your State Captain

Amy Cunningham
Amy Cunningham began work as the Deputy Director for the Vermont Arts Council in March of 2018. In that capacity, she manages the day-to-day operations of the Council, working to bring the organization’s strategic goals to fruition. She directs the programs team, manages the Vermont Creative Network, and is the contact for national advocacy efforts.
She comes to the Council with a sixteen-year track record as a nonprofit leader in Vermont statewide organizations, including the Vermont Humanities Council and Everybody Wins! Vermont. She has served on several statewide and local nonprofit boards, currently serving on the Montpelier Community Fund board and as the chair of the Kellogg Hubbard Library. Her education background includes a B.A. in History from the University of North Carolina-Asheville, an M.A. in Museum Studies from the Cooperstown Graduate Program, and a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Woodbury College.
