Welcome to the
2022 National Arts Action Summit!

Entering its 35th consecutive year, the National Arts Action Summit is the only national event designed to bring together a broad cross-section of America’s cultural and civic organizations to underscore the importance of developing strong public policies and appropriating increased public funding for the arts and culture.

In 2022, the arts sector faces new advocacy and legislative challenges. Over the last 12 months, we’ve seen more pro-arts policies proposed than ever before. By presenting a thoughtful, unified message to decision-makers, advocates can ensure their voice is heard when Congress considers issues like the budget, creative economy, and job creation throughout the year.

For 2022, with input from the Americans for the Arts Racial and Cultural Equity Task Force, we are continuing to innovate around this long-standing event to make it more accessible and impactful.

This year, for the first time, there will be no registration fee to attend the National Arts Action Summit.

It is free for both individuals and partner organizations

We hope you will join us in building a united coalition of organizations representing our field before the administration and U.S. Congress. By joining together to consider how to expand our message, coalitions, and strategies, we can improve the quality of our representation of all arts and culture stakeholders.

The 2022 National Arts Action Summit will focus on the annual appropriations process and the creative workforce bills currently under consideration by Congress.

From March 28-30, 2022, advocates will gain a depth of knowledge from policy experts and field leaders. Learn compelling up-to-the-minute data, the latest in arts policy, and how to effectively engage decision-makers to support the arts, arts education, and much more! In the 6 months following the event, registrants can watch the recordings of the Summit sessions whenever you like to refresh your understanding of the issues. Attendees will also have unique opportunities to connect with other advocates from their state and across the country.

The uncaptioned recordings of our 2022 Summit sessions are now available for your viewing pleasure. Please visit the agenda page to access the session recordings. We are currently working on producing the captioned versions of the recordings - Please check back with us as we will update the agenda page to reflect when
those videos are ready to view.
