The View of Public Art Through the Lens of a Commercial Real Estate Broker

Recorded On: 09/09/2015

Americans for the Arts' Public Art Programs and Private Sector Initiatives Department are launching a blog and webinar series to explore the private sector view of the importance of public art. Through this series, we seek to highlight the role public art can play in private sector work and share stories from the private sector for public art professionals to reference as they connect with businesses in their communities.

The View of Public Art Through the Lens of a Commercial Real Estate Broker (On-Demand Webinar)

For years the public art and private sectors have developed unique partnerships to enhance communities across the country. 2015 BCA 10 honoree and commercial real estate company, Prospective Inc., will partner with Americans for the Arts for part of a series of webinars and blogs that will serve as an exploration of some of these partnerships.

Prospective principal, Joe Ritchey, will present his extensive work as Board Chairman and President of the Initiative for Public Arts – Reston (IPAR). IPAR's mission is to “inspire an ongoing commitment to public art and create a new generation of artworks in Reston". Ritchey's strong commitment to public art as a businessman and community leader makes for a fantastic case study in public/private partnerships, and he will be joined by IPAR's Executive Director, Anne Delaney.
